OUR CLUB
SNC was formed in 2003 for the benefit and enjoyment of players belonging to Strathmore, Essendon and the wider community. Originally the club was called St Vincents Netball club, but in 2017, an alignment with Strathmore Sports Club has seen the renaming of the club to Strathmore Netball Club.

The club has a simple philosophy of encouraging all participants to have fun whilst participating, and enjoying, the sport of netball.
Our club can field teams from 7 years of age to Open age sections of the competition. We also run the WOOLWORTHS NETSETGO program for children aged 5-9 years old.

GENERAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS​
The club is run by volunteers. The committee, some coaches, and team managers volunteer their time for no other reason but for the benefit of the players. As you can see below it takes a village to run a netball club, and we have a great team of volunteers behind the scenes filling all the below roles, and helping to keep us running as a professional club should. We are an incorporated entity and run on a not-for-profit principle.

Played at the modern facilities of the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Parkville.

Games are played:
Under 13’s and under on Saturdays from 8.00am till mid afternoon
Under 15’s on Thursday Nights from 6pm
Under 17’s & Opens on Tuesday Nights from 6pm

WOOLWORTHS NETSETGO PROGRAM
This 8-10 week program is a positive introduction to netball
for girls & boys aged 6-8 years.
Incorporating fun along with...
Ball Skills, Footwork, Activities, Game Knowledge

Term 1 will focus on getting the players ready to participate in the SET competition the following year (must be at least 7 at the commencement of the playing season.)

Runs for 10 weeks in Term 1/2 & 10 weeks in Term 3/4

Held at Aberfeldie Primary School

Cost TBC
Includes a netball, a NetSetGo t-shirt
plus other netball paraphernalia

OUR TEAMS
FROM SET TO OPEN AGE
​
Our club fields teams across all age groups from SET (U/9) through to OPEN AGE. The Strathmore Netball Club is a graded club. Grading will take place at the end of each year, in preparation for the next season and to re-establish teams.
​
Each year we put over 70 teams on court.
