Junior Netball Teams: SET

Under 11 & Under 13

Growing Skills, Growing Friendships

From Set & Go for kids aged 5–10, to U11 and U13 junior teams, our programs are all about fun, skill development, and teamwork. Children learn the fundamentals of netball, play age-appropriate games, and gain confidence in a safe, supportive, and active environment.


Whether your child is just starting out or ready for structured competition, there’s a place for them on the court with us.​

SET & Go Teams
(Ages 5-10)

  • Learn passing, catching, shooting, and teamwork​

  • Play age-appropriate modified matches​

  • Low-pressure, supportive environment with qualified coaches​

  • Saturday games at Parkville​

  • One training session per week​.

Under 11 Teams

  • Focus on developing skills, game awareness, and confidence​

  • Train once per week and play regular competition games​

  • Coaching emphasises core skills, teamwork, positioning, and enjoyment​

  • Positive, supportive environment to encourage learning, trying and having fun​

  • Best & Fairest voting may begin, recognising effort and sportsmanship​.

Under 13
Teams

  • Build on U11 skills with structured games and first finals experience​

  • Train once per week and play regular competition games​

  • Coaching focuses on skills, movement, rules, teamwork, and enjoyment​

  • Finals may be played depending on ladder position and competition rules​

  • Best & Fairest voting recognises effort, improvement, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

What to Expect

Joining a junior team is an exciting step in your child's netball journey. Below you'll find everything you need to know about how training, game days, and uniforms work at Strathmore.

Training Days and Times

  • Day: Monday​

  • Time: 1-hour sessions between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM, depending on team​ and grade

  • Venue: Aberfeldie Primary School, Ramsay St, Aberfeldie, VIC​

Game Days

  • Venue: State Netball Centre (Parkville Stadium), Parkville, VIC​

  • NetSetGo (Set & Go): Saturday mornings​

  • U11 (11 & Under): Saturday mornings​

  • U13 (13 & Under): Saturday mornings or afternoons​

Uniforms and Equipment

  • A‑line Netball Dress (game day)​

  • Singlet and Shorts​

  • Hooded Sweat Top with player’s name​

  • Short Sleeve Warm‑Up Top​

  • All three items are compulsory for NetSetGo through to Open teams – players must wear them at games and official club activities​
